About Church and Community

Church and Community was founded by Rev. Malcolm Duncan in 2008 and is centred around two important beliefs:

1. We believe that followers of Jesus must make a difference to the world!  We believe that there is a basic commandment to every group of Christians to reach out to their local community, serving people around them unconditionally.
2. We believe that “the Gospel” must be good news at every level.  Words and actions cannot and should not be separated.  We believe that we can be effective if we try to hold five strands of our life and witness together:
   
   1. Prayer and Spirituality
   2. Proclamation and Theology
   3. Activism and Involvement
   4. Advocacy and Campaigns
   5. Partnership and Shared Resources
